Release Notes

AutoForm 1.1

  • Added ListBoxFieldDefinition for binding to ObservableCollection<T> properties
  • Added StaticTextFieldDefinition which creates a TextBlock with no associated field label
  • Added a new BaseFieldDefinition.StretchMode option called Remainder, which casuses the field to occupy the remainder of the current row in Grid layouts (no effect in Stacked layouts)
  • Added SubFormFieldDefinition for creating sub-forms. The sub-form is contained in either a GroupBox or Expander control and has its own LayoutStrategy, optional DataContext and either a FieldDefinitionList or ModelObjectFormDefiner
  • Fixed a bug in the setter for AutoFormPanel.ModelObjectFormDefiner which couldn't handle null values
  • Added a unit test for SubFormFieldDefinition in a Stacked layout
  • Created the DevKnightlie.WPF.AutoForm.WPFToolkit project, which contains field definition classes for many of the controls in Xceed's Extended WPF Toolkit Community Edition. See the Wiki for documentation (soon), but for instant use just call FieldDefinitionRegistration.RegisterWPFToolkitDefinitions() to register a few of the new definitions
  • Added a PropertyInfo property to BaseFieldDefinition. This is populated by the ModelObjectFormDefiner class and gives definition classes access to the PropertyInfo object for the property being bound.
  • Moved population of combo box items for enumerated types from ModelObjectFormDefiner to ComboBoxFieldDefinition
  • Added Title property to PersonDataModel in the demo project to demonstrate enum support in ModelObjectFormDefiner
  • Added a new tab to the Demo project which contains a number of sub-forms
  • Added support for the MaxLength attribute in TextFieldDefinition
  • Various refactorings
